It seems to me that fame - or celebrity - of any kind must be very addictive. CBB is obviously filled with people who have achieved various degrees of celebrity and wish to continue or improve on that in any way they can.
Rylan's just started on that journey, but now he's had a taster he's not going to want to let it go, none of them ever do - you just have to look at the rag mags to see that.
Chantelle Houghton is the best example of this - completely created by BB and clinging to that z-list by her false fingernails for as long as she possibly can.

Totally agree. Anybody who has had a 'taste' is certainly going to want it to continue. They're not doing these shows for the fun of it.
Whether it's 'normal' or CBB, they ALL want the recognition. The established celebs want their profile back up there. The 'non celebs' want their profile up there. The 'normal CBB house mates' want to create a profile. It's the fame game at its best
And of course there is the pay cheque
She didn't have to say that, it came across as catty, and she is like that. It's not the first time I've heard her say she likes somebody, but......
She has a job in entertainment, why does she seem to begrudge the fact that someone else is trying to carve out a similar career. So he has ambition and wants to work in TV, he has been very honest about what he wants to do. Preferably dance music but if he can't make it with that he'd like to do TV work, and good for him to persue that dream. I wouldn't have the guts to put myself out there as he has, but I respect someone with the ambition and determination to keep trying.
Good luck to him, he's a nice guy.

They were asked who was desperate to win. The usual suspects came out with Heidi and Spencer and blah blah, she just pointed out the fact that he's somewhat of a reality tv veteran who is desperate for fame himself. It's not like she was wrong.
Well she wasn't wrong but it came across as her having a snide dig, and that's what I didn't think was very nice, whoever she had done it to.
Has she forgotton the path of her own career? Not the best singer with the Nolans, then a daytime TV show, then two reality type shows now the best she seems to be able to do is BBBOTS, so don't try to knock someone else for doing what they have to, to get a career.

Spedi famous wise are not doing too badly, they have approx 2.5 million people following them on twitter between them, that is nearly 4x more than the second highest person in the house which is Rylan with just over 500k. Speidi are also famous for doing various different things including singing and acting, whereas Rylan has no real talent except his pouting ability

Twitter followers do not equal fans. Many a celeb is followed on twitter because they tweet dramatically, fight, slander, all sorts of reasons - for example Jasmine Lennard who is a train crash tweeter. I don't like her, but watching her twitter feed is hysterical!

Speidi are on the show because all of their work has dried up and they're desperate for fame. Rylan is on the show because there is a gap in his work (between The X Factor and The X Factor tour) and he's desperate for fame.
Twitter followers mean nothing, though I do find it amusing that they have separate Twitter accounts and you have combined the figure - you do realise that people who follow one will also tend to follow the other? 2.5million is grossly exaggerated as many of those will be the same people. And I notice how that 2.5million anyway you rounded up, and Rylan's you rounded down by 134k. Rylan has been known for what, 4 months? Of course his figure is going to be less.

That's exactly what happens, somebody gains attention, people follow them for a bit to see if anything interesting happens. After a while they may even forget they are following that person, may eventually do a clear-out of who they are following, but many people have lots of followers who have just never bothered to unfollow.
I usually put the BB housemates on a List - where I can read their tweets in one column (on Hootsuite) for a while, to see if there's anything interesting post-BB from them. That way I'm not actually following them, just reading their tweets in one specific place.
She doesn't approve of gay marriage so who gives a **** about her opinion? Probably still mad that she flopped in her series.

If you watched X Factor its clear that he wasn't desperate to win it, he was humbled and thankful every time he was saved. The same emotions seem to be coming across in CBB too... Wanting or hoping to win are not the same as deperation
