Tulip UK Ltd??

I've received 5, count them, 5 calls from Tulip UK Ltd from New Dehli over the last two days!

The last person I spoke to, at approx 16:19, kept asking me if I had a mobile phone and was trying to pitch.

Me, being the insurance sales/service advisor that I am, politely refused.

I just googled for Tulip UK, and - http://ww1.mid-day.com/business/inte...july/88710.htm

It turns out the company is run by two fraudsters who have recently been forced to repay almost $700m after one of their companies went bust.

I know it isn't the staff's problem that they don't know who they're calling, but why do they need to call at least twice a day? If they call again tomorrow I'm gonna go ape on the phone!

Anyone actually had dealings with the company?

Not had any dealings with them, but I would stay well away after reading that link, and now know what to expect when they call.

Also, how the hell did the service providers not spot that one?

Beyond belief that they would take on resellers that owe hundreds of millions of pounds and con people

Umm, the service providers probably only had one thing on their minds - generating cash!

You'd sell to anyone as long as it wouldn't backfire on you.

Well yes, but it is going to backfire on them isnt it?

Well hopefully everything will be okay - I'd hate to think that people who signed up to the service would get short-changed.

Judging by that report in the link you posted, I would say anyone who has signed up, might just get shortchanged.

Very big possibility.

Hope not. As I said, I don't like the idea of people losing out on money.

I wish there was an easily-accessible register of companies that you could actually look at to see their dodgy calamities; I know we've got Companies House, but with companies shutting down one day and setting up the next under a different name, it's a complicated process.

I wouldn't be surprised if phones turn up on your doorstep even tho you've hung up on the company, they are well dodgy.

What makes you say that? Hope not! lol.

I've read threads on here about Tulip before.... not a company you want to be dealing with.

If they keep calling you could complain to BT (or whoever your phone company is).

They sent 2 phones to my mate, after he hung up on them telling them to '**** off' basically. Trading Standards sorted it out with the Network (vodafone). Bad sting.
