Doesn't it just show that we all have different views on what we find entertaining and want to see and hear more of. And the X Factor for all it's faults does give us variety.

I never got the Ella hype, I found her an average singer. Maybe once we see her do her own stuff which suits her I might feel differently.

Never understood why they put Rylan through till the first live show, he lit up the stage, I found the others dreary, even their VT's were all about sob stories. Rylans genuine enthusiasm and humour made it for me, without him I probably wouldn't have bothered. When he sang Wires he proved he could sing. The unacceptable demonizing of Chris was the downside of the series, yes he is dated but he had the most powerful voice in the competition and I didn't believe the tabloid stories.

You can't make statements like these and expect them to hold up because you're discounting so many different things. Like people having multiple people they like. For example say I liked everyone except Chris. But only voted for one person a week. And suppose a lot of other people felt the same, but voted for a different one person a week. That wouldn't make him more liked than most. Plus there's also people who don't vote altogether, people who vote multiple times, all these different variables that makes it impossible to simply say "He was more liked, therefore he got more votes". Chris topping the vote a number of times doesn't prove he was more liked than most by a number of people. It just proves he got more votes. Suppose he topped the vote by 25% one week split between 10 people, that doesn't necessarily mean 50% of voters don't dislike him. This is just all hypothetical of course.

I went to Brighton on Wednesday .. it was a fantastic evening!

Rylan and Union J totally stole the show IMO..
Jaymene was superb too and James.

TBH though Ella was pretty drab in comparison.. in fact on her song where she sang at a piano the crowd were just screaming and running towards Rylan who was waiting by the south stalls ready to walk through the crowd then onto the stage with security to start his final song!!!

Interesting thread. Shame it went a bit off topic but yes the Brighton shows were amazing. Cardiff excelled yesterday & today too. So good to read all the excellent comments on twitter praising Chris. He seems to have stolen the show just about everywhere so far & really surprised some people who didnt like him before seeing him live on tour. Great to see all the girls photos with him and all the excitement via their tweets during the shows. Really happy for him. After all the rubbish he had to endure he's proved he's gone from wild card to ACE card. Hope others who are going will have a great time whoever their faves are.

I was working at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena for the Saturday afternoon show yesterday. Was stood by the fire door next to the stage and was able to see the whole show (and got paid to do it!). I quite enjoyed it, thought Ella and James were the best with the latter being particularly impressive. Didn't understand the fuss about Jahmene, thought he was a bit warbly and did an unnecessarily OTT version of 'Let it Be'. Despite not really being my thing, Union J were really good, and Chris was surprisingly enjoyable as well. I always like performers who interact with the crowd, and both did it extremely well.

Because of where I was stood, District 3, Union J, Chris Maloney and Rylan Clark all walked past me when they were coming on stage from the back of the arena. Rylan covered himself with a coat so I didn't get a good look at him. The others virtually brushed past me. Didn't want to say anything because the security are usually a bit arsey if you try anything.

I'm glad the audiences are being nice to Chris, he does have the voice. Oh I wish I could go to one of the shows, but no time.

Excellent post.I have been a huge fan of Chris from the very start and I'm so pleased that people are starting to realise how amazing he really is.It really broke my heart when he was getting all that hate and abuse,he did not deserve any of it,he is just a normal lad following his dream.I went to the tour at the MEN arena on the 26th of January and he was the highlight.Chris got everyone up and dancing and was enjoying every single moment.I think he has a great future ahead and I'm proud to be a follower and a supporter of his.

I went last friday with my daughter and 3 grandaughters to Cardiff and thoroughly enjoyed the whole show, They were all good although Ella was a bit boring when she played the piano. Rylan was brill and really got the place going
We were a bit disapointed that neither Jahmene , or Ella came onto the mini stage. but all the others did .
The show seemed much better this year with them all doing more songs and we got to see more of them because I think there has been 8 members in the past compared to 7 this year.

And the whole of the USA and the Atlantic!

Going on Tuesday to see the show, but thinking I might ditch it after Rylan... Its such a weak lineup this year

You might be pleasantly surprised with Christopher Maloney.There was tons of people that weren't a fan of his but they soon changed their mind about him once they went to the tour! They love him now.

I went to Birmingham this afternoon, it was amazing.
Rylan >>>>> James > Chris > Ella > Jahmene > Union J > District3; in best performance order imo.

Rylan was a fantastic performer, he knows how to make the crowd go crazy and have some fun. He's so lovely and happy and he's just such a pleasure to watch.
James was great. Vocals sounded very good and I enjoyed watching and listening to him, he's got a charm.
Chris and Ella shocked me as I wasn't expecting to like either of them all that much. Chris got involved with the crowd and it was really nice to hear lots of cheers and support for him & Ella's vocals sounded good and she seemed confident with her performances.
Jahmene's vocals are incred at times when he's on point and he was throughout the night. Just slightly boring to watch as on tv.
Union J & District3 were good but nothing special or different to each other (other than Jaymi's awesome vocals), enjoyable performances just not outstanding.

Also got like every piece of Rylan merchandise that exists, he's so flawless. <3

I think the calibre of contestants has gone down every year of late. Would have liked last year with Kitty and Cher. Shame, as they had a lot to say!

I went yesterday and I had a great time. All the acts were amazing and I was screaming the whole time. I got a bit over excited when James Arthur touched my hand though, haha.

When Jahmene sang Let It Be, it was just amazing and I couldn't believe how good it was.
Ella's voice was beautiful!
Even though I am not a huge Chris fan, I enjoyed it!
District3 were AMAZINGG. I loved that they were so involved with the crowd when they took a picture.
Union J were also AMAZINGG. You heard quite a lot of George which was great because his voice sounded very strong.
Rylan was hilarious and his voice sounded great! It was so much fun to watch.
James was fab, loved every song he sang, brilliant!

Didn't go. Due to an error my name wasn't on the guest list and to say the tour manager was rude beyond words would be an understatement. Isn't that par for the course with X Factor?

Oh well, it's probably for the best! I only wanted to see Rylan anyway!

Went last Sunday in Birmingham. Surprise of the night for me were Union J who were really rather good. Worst of the night unfortunately as I do like him - was Jahmene. He was disappointing and lack lustre. Maloney was just plain irritating shouting at the crowds.
