I'm no newbie to Classic Who, I first got into Dr Who before the 2005 revival and there's a load I have seen. However, simply cos there is SO much, I was wondering if anyone could give me some recommendations as I'm planning on getting some new DVD's to celebrate the anniversarry year. I already have some of the earlier T Baker stuff, a lot of the more popular/famous/better J Pertwee stuff, as well as Tomb of the Cybermen and The War Games for Troughton. As for what I'm interested in getting more of, I'd like to get more into W Hartnell as I've not actually seen that many of his and it is the anniversarry. If I could also have recommendations for some of the best of P Davidson, and prehaps the later T Baker ones, from some one who knows his stuff, then that would be great.

Easy answer watch all of them and I suggest you should listen to Marco Polo, the Daleks Master Plan and the Massacre as well. There was a recent thread of the best Peter Davison stories.

Genesis Of The Daleks, The Deadly Assassin, City Of Death, Earthshock, The Five Doctors and The Caves Of Androzani spring to mind.

Early hartnell would suggest the Aztecs, and this weeks new release of the reign of terror. Cant go wrong with the Romans, and give the Gunfighters a go! It is not as bad as it reputation would suggest.
Troughton ,got to be the Mind Robber and the Invasion.
Pertwee, Inferno, Carnival of Monsters.
Late Baker, look no further than the Key to time season and City of Death.
Davison, Earthshock, Enlightenment, Caves of Androzani.
Colin Baker, Vengeance on Varos.
Mccoy, Ghostlight and Curse of Fenric.
