not for DOI but I do have friends who work in the TV industry and have done bits and pieces in it myself

I know enough about TV production to know that VTs are pre-planned/storyboarded/scripted to fit an agenda .... and very rarely unrehearsed or filmed in one take

sorry but if you thought that VT was unscripted and spontaneous then you're very naive ... it's like with the X Factor ones ... all pre planned and rarely filmed in one take ... you can always tell as the "acting" in them is so corny and unnatural

OK .... from my experience, in my opinion the VT was scripted. as were everyone else's ... especially when they set up visits from family/friends ... ie when Anthea's posse turned up at training .... better?

I have to say on this occasion I agree with diamond1. It looked very very staged with the pretend oh no my mum is here to watch type of thing when given it was the studio rink she would probably have been more than aware of her turning up given her mum would hardly have been given free reign to just wander so I think that all was scripted

I will still say though that I don't think Sylvain looked all that comfortable with the whole scenario and his smile seemed to be a bit fixed and contrived the I'm doing this because I have to kind of thing.

Well each to their own but I don't think he looked uncomfortable at all.

They are all going to have some solo skating this week from the looks of the pics plus we know there is the Leveller so it's not just giving Samia some more solo skating they are all getting it.

I know. From the rehearsal pics it seems Beth and Samia have quite a lot of solo skating where as the majority of Luke's and Shane's pics they are with their pros. Still it could just be the way the pictures where taken.

she does .. she seems to be grasping the need to bend her knees which must be difficult for her as it's the opposite to her gymnastics training
