Bought a liquidiser with the intention of making fruit smoothies, recipes and tips?
I used it once and put 3 types of berries in it and it tasted disgusting, I probably did it wrong. Can someone give me simply recipes to try? I'm only a beginner.

I always use banana as a base. I add a handful of whatever berries I have, half a small pot of yoghurt or a whole Actimel, a generous teaspoon of jam or honey to sweeten, a handful of porridge oats (makes it creamy as well as filling) and enough fruit juice (again, whatever I have on the go) to make it a drinking consistency.
Blitz it all together and enjoy. Oh, if you are adding the oats, if you don't drink it immediately they will soak up all of the liquid, so you'll need to 'thin' it again by stirring extra fruit juice in. Best to drink straight away, though. |
