I love a bit of beef but i think you need to balance the protien and carbs with a few greens.
Same here. The pot noodle was there for novelty value only. You already had meat and potatoes. The other novely was the beef bones plonked into it.

If he wanted that as part of the presentation then a beef short rib would have worked well.

It was strange wasn't it & i was shocked that Phil nor the judges picked up on it, well not on camera anyway.

He could have just served the noodles in a boulder type pot or a big red nose and it would have gelled a lot better.

This time three returning contenders from the North East are reunited in a culinary rematch. Colin McGurran is determined to have a repeat performance having got to the banquet in 2012. He believes anything less than cooking at the Royal Albert Hall will be a failure. But he is up against two formidable opponents: Stephanie Moon and Charlie Lakin. They were both defeated by Colin last year and are more determined than ever to get further in the competition.

The chefs also raise cash in fundraising challenges and this time one of the chefs is joined by comedienne and presenter Kirsten O'Brien.
They've made the same mistake again. They've put the North East instead of Yorkshire. How silly.

That's one of the problems with this brief, some of the jokes are likely to go round a bit. That and a lot of red spheres.
