The editing of the judges laughing is terrible. Maybe there is something wrong with the majority of people in this thread but we were more than surprised at the judges laughing and joking at what they were presented with.

Watched an episode of The Fixer last night and guess who popped up? Peter and his brother from Casamina.

They said that they michelin starred food was taking traditional, nostalgic recipies and updating them.

So I guess that his brief in this years comp is ingrained into him.

So hold on, it's the Welsh heat, but none of the chefs are Welsh and the judge is a Scot?

They've really given up this year haven't they

There were comments about Atherton representing the South East and not the North East or whaterver region it was back then for Linconshire.

Then you had Corrigan from ROI representing NI

and Atul from India in there for some reason

and a few others along the way.

Marlow is a nice part of the country isn't it. And at 19, surely just out of catering college or apprenticeship.

It may be a cynical view but I wonder if his parents are in the industry or own/funded his restaurant

We just said exactly the same thing about his parents buying the restaurant for him....because he's not set that up out of his own funds

She's not taking any of this pretentious cheffy crap is she

Unfortunately I don't think her food is going to be upto much in this type of comp.

We'll see though

Snigger young head chef refers to Mary Anne's wealth of experience.

I had a theory of a menu themed around classic British comedy. Pig's trotters as a starter showing up in a three wheeled yellow cover..

I'm enjoying that it's quite refreshing. We'll see what the dishes all look like at the end.

Since when was Marlow in Wales? Does not sound very Welsh to me, just a generic University accent
