Making as much money as they can whilst the hype is about. They won't get any bigger. Still, only arenas... and it's not that big.

Why do i suspect that Zayn will suddenly become 'ill' when they get to the Australian dates?

I think it's too big for them. Also, that's not all of the dates. You have missed out from that list more Australia dates, plus New Zealand too. They have also just announced Japan dates as well, so I'm guessing places in Asia will follow. There's no doubt they will complete the tour, but I think it will exhaust them and really take a lot out of them. I mean, artists who do big, big tours such as Beyonce and Madonna...even they find it very, very draining, and if you've ever seen any of their documentaries about their tours, you will see it takes a lot of out of them. However, these artists do plan their tours themselves down to the last details and they have heavy dancing every night too. With One Direction, they just simply come out and sing each night and not a lot is really expected of them, so it's easy money really. They're just so young though that's the thing, and I know they've done little tours before...but this is their first proper one and it's pretty bloody big for their first one. I'll tell you one thing though...looking at that list of dates just shows you what a money scrounging little shit Simon Cowell is. Leona and Alexandra didn't get even half the attention that One direction have had from Simon, and let's face it, both girls should be world wide stars by now. They boys are going to be exhausted by the time they finish that tour. Apparently they'll be recording their 3rd album during the tour too. I suppose they're young and very lucky and should make the most of it, but my god they are being used.

Is that right that at some venues they are doing 2 shows a DAY e.g.
001. 23 Feb The O2 London. UK 002. 23 Feb. The O2. London. UK 003. 24 Feb. The O2 London UK 004. 24 Feb. The O2 London. UK

I definitely agree with this. They are thoroughly used by Simon and once he looses interest and their popularity decreases even just a little, he will ditch them like a wet towel. It will definitively drain them because the tour is too big for the band who had a relatively small first tour - even if they just sing on the stage. Although, I have to say it is kind of boring that they just sing walk around or jump on stage, a little choreography wouldn't hurt. Not being the best dancers isn't a excuse - Westlife were not amazing at it, but they danced a lot and had moves that were mostly cringe-worthy on their tours - but they did them anyway and they actually made fun of themselves all the time about it. I mean, even Take That are dancing... 1D are a boyband after all, they should have some kind of choreography. Especially since they are just alright, mostly average singers. |

Wonder how many of them will end up in rehab? What a gruelling schedule. Cowell is certainly squeezing the pips out of them.
Just read to very differing reviews in The Telegraph and The Sun. Knowing how far Gordon Smart is up Cowell's arse the former seems more likely. It also reflects what I saw lacking in their Brits performance. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/m...na-review.html http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...y-the-sun.html |

So, I guess I was right about them just jumping around, they do just that:
One Direction may pride themselves on being the boyband who don’t do the cheesy dance routines, but over two hours, with their unexceptional voices and a stodgy section of ballads, what the lads were in dire need of was some kind of showmanship. They casually strolled, they jumped up and down, and at the chorus they lunged and crunched with some defiant arm-chopping. While Bieber was provocatively dangled like shark bait in a cage over the grabbing hands of his audience They truly need some kind of choreography. But I'm sure their fans don't give a damn about that. |

It doesn't sound like a very healthy schedule though, and I can see them regretting it in the future. |

I am a fan. I do agree I do think the tour is pretty tough. I also agree that they need some chorography. I also think Simon sees them as dollar signs in his eyes. Maybe they do have a shelf life of maybe another 3/4 years. But they can always do a come back in ten years like take that is. And to be honest they are as good as they were in the day.
