Playbook?

I'm thinking of buying a Playbook but could use a little advise..

Can I use iTunes on it? Also, where would I find a good deal on one? (not ebay)

What do you mean by use itunes? itunes won't run on it obviously but you can sync your music etc from itunes. The Blackberry Desktop manager has a facility to allow you to select your music from your itunes library and put it on the Playbook.

The Playbook is quite cheap at the moment in places like Currys or PC World

At £129, they are an utter bargain
Cheapest decent tablet out there, and gonna get better with BB10 and all the new apps.
Very well made bit of kit, easy to use and QNX is a great OS
Get one while you can!

I don't think they are for everyone.

If the primary use is:

Media playback
Browsing
Reading ebooks
iPlayer
occasional games..

Then it's very good as the screen is a quality IPS type with great brightness/viewing angles. The unit is very fast as well.

There just aren't many apps/games for it, if that's your thing then android is probably a better option.

Pretty true, and thats why I suggested one to my partner - she absolutely loves it.

Although there is a reasonable range of games/apps - probably enough for lots of people. I do however have issues with some of the pricing, typically several times more than the Android equivalent (and in some cases I think they've just done a direct repackaging of the Android app as well).

The pricing has fixed up now now, and is based off the correct conversation of currency from dollars to pounds. Used to get a bad deal but should be better now hopefully.
