So I bought this nice plain black dress from topshop for a party and I don't really want to wear black heels with it. Would colourful heels i.e blue, pink or red go with it?

Feel free to post links of nice shoes, would be very helpfull! Not to expensive though

I think any colour would go well.with a black dress, just match it with something else, costume jewelry, belt or the good old bag. Or u could buy really 'shouty' shoes like red or dead they need to be with a simple black dress as they have enough going on

Yes, do you have a matching sort of bag to go with them.

Show us the dress, to help with the suggestions, can you link to it? How are you walking in heels, is height any problem? And your toes, nice enough for open toe? What size are your feet? What dress size and shape? Eg 14 pear - the bag shape and size, and cross body strap for example could be effected in how it looks by this.

ETA: What's your budget for shoes alone, and shoes with bag?

I would be tempted to do a rocker-esque look with that dress by wearing a belt, leather look short jacket, and something like the shoes linked above.

For a more girly look, I would go for glittery platforms, which I think I've seen for your budget in New Look.
