David Bradley to play Hartnell in AAISAT? (tweet from RT cover party)

Harry Potter star David Bradley will be in the new Doctor Who eps as announced at @RadioTimes covers party by Mark Gatiss He's been rumoured for the part pretty much since it was announced, today was the read-through and a multimedia assistant on twitter seemed to confirm him and Jessica Raine as Hartnell and Lambert, only for the tweeter to delete it and claim it was speculation. |

That would be interesting if true, i remember when the season 7 trailers started showing last year some people got excited at the brief shots of Bradley from Dinosaurs on a Spaceship thinking that maybe he was playing the first doctor.

Excellent casting.
1st Doctors Tardis set being built, actor cast.....nice timing for the 50th anniversary episode as well me thinks. Shame not to make extra use of the set and class actor to shoot a few special scenes for later use.

I've never actually thought about it before but in retrospect Billy Hartnell couldn't be played by anyone other than David Bradley, so I do reckon it's going to be him announced tomorrow and what perfect casting it will be.
Now I wonder who will play Carole Ann, Jacqueline and William Russell... |

I'm sure Bradley will enjoy the change as he's basically been playing Filch everywhere for years. (Ashes to Ashes, Dinosaurs on a Spaceship)

AAISAT is it going to be like a documentary bit confused as to way directors and producers are been cast?

I don't see the point in another documentary on the classic series. We've had enough. Plus, so many of the people involved in making it are now dead and couldn't contribute.
I'd sooner see Return to Devil's End or The Making of Silver Nemesis or Resistance is Useless released on DVD. |
