Can I transfer recordings from Sky box to Humax box?

Hi everyone. Firstly, apologies if this has already been asked, I have looked, but couldn't find a relative thread.

So - I have just bought a Humax HDR1000s 500. So far I'm very impressed with the machine, all seems to be working well.

I'm currently with Sky and have a few programmes recorded that I would like to transfer to my new box. Is this possible? If so, how can I do this?

You can extract the programs from your Sky+ box onto a PC as long as they're on the free channels (Encrypted channels can be extracted but it depends on the box and you need other stuff).

I guess you'd need to convert the files after that for playing on the Humax.

dekaf, there isn't much of an incentive for Sky to make it easy!
