Hopefully just a temporary fault, which should be fixed in due course. If not Sky will probably remove the channel in the morning.

Thanks.”

Thanks for the clarification, I now totally understand what you're asking.

As for the answer, to be totally honest with you I never really took notice whilst it was showing the "channel upgrade" screen, but to be fair to myself, I'm usually good at noticing things if they're different. So I'm 'presuming' (and I repeat presuming) it was showing the normal upgrade screen which would have been an upgrade screen for the channel 'Watch' as I had "5106" listed on position nine in my "other channels".

Sorry I can't be of more help on this, I'll certainly take note the next time a channel upgrade screen appears.

Sadly the info in the box that appears when you add it to the other channels is the same as the place in the EPG from the beginning.

In other words, if you have just one channel in your other channels and you get an upgrade screen, the info will read the descriptor for BBC1 irrespective of which blocked channel you have stored.

Your second one will always show BBC2's info banner and so on.

You can see the channel description for each channel in the Favourites Setup menu. (If using the old EPG, you need to press 'i' to see the description)

It's back on air.

As far as I know, there's only planned to be a single QVC HD channel, all the others will remain SD - at least for the time being. Twinkle and Sparkle are placeholders and not the final working titles, other than that I don't know when either the HD or other SD channels will re-brand and fully launch. Their new playout at Chiswick Park is HD so in effect QVC HD could launch any time but they seem to be delaying it for some reason, maybe to coincide with the launch of their other services?

I may be imagining things but I thought there was a report last Spring that said QVC HD and 2 new channels from QVC would be launching September 2012, and not seen any official news on them since!

Hi! All
Well I read the same here on Digital Spy that QVCHD should launch in September 2012, but here we are in February 2013 and still no sign yet but at least we have now got More 4HD and in April we are due to get BBC 2HD and I am sure we will see a few more HD channels this year apart from that.

I feel that as soon as we have one launch as we have with has it been FX to Fox and now More 4HD that it will not be long until we either see more or have news on when more will launch, or at least go HD.

As I said last year now that we have come to the end of the Digital Switch Over I am sure that Sky in their ongoing war to be the biggest will try to have as many HD channels as possible and seeing as the next move in the way of broadcasting will be HD, that will be the the next step in the way of more HD channels launching and within two or three years a date will be announced for a switch over to HD.

Hi! All
I have to add that a switch over to HD will not be within two or three years but in two or three years a switch over date will be announced and it might be that by 2020 we will al switch over to HD.

QVC HD. What's the point?

I still question the existence of Sky News HD and Sky Sports News HD. In my opinion some channels don't warrant a HD variant.

I'd rather have HD versions of Sky 2, Pick TV and Really.

I agree. It's really pointless having a shopping channel in HD.

I'm posting the update now.
As I will be out and busy tomorrow, plus posting on a Friday is a pain.
It has been a very busy week all round with one thing or another
Anyhoo! get it here and enjoy my lovelies.
