What do you mean by 'updated' - hardware, software or brand new device... ?

I would expect something to be announced in May (either at or around the time of Google IO).
Probably a successor to the Nexus 7 and a new version of Android (Key Lime Pie). I would also expect the software upgrade to roll out to existing (current) Nexus devices (4, 7 and 10). |

The chatter from component vendors in the Far East is that it will be a an Asus device again with 1080 screen and redesign. Could also be a Tegra 4 powered.

That, along with the 1080p/Tegra 4 rumours does point towards 2 more devices.
The £99 unit will be an "entry level" device (1280x800?), maybe reduced manufacturing costs for the current spec device - or even something thats "just" a Tegra 2 device. That is the one that'll likely get the sales - I know that my sons would love a tablet (can barely prise them off my Nexus 7 and Playbook), and sub £100 for a decent one would be almost an impulse purchase. |

I wonder what it will be called.
Nexus 7 2 (although it's a mouthful) Nexus 7 S Or maybe it will simply be branded as 'The New Nexus 7' and referred to as 2nd Generation Nexus 7 in stores. |

Now, if you gave a reason why its the only one worth bothering with, then fine. You've given no reasoning, the device isn't available (yet), it hasn't been reviewed. And at the end of the day its just another Android tablet. Its likely to cost a lot more than the Nexus 7, which still has the enviable position of being one of the best value tablets on the market. |

![]() Its the only phone/tablet with a pixel precise stylus that lets you do ultra fine detail work. No need for those oily smears across your screen anymore ![]() http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pho...1093688/review |
