International Dial Tones
I rang a Bulgarian number ( not sure if mobile or landline) & I got this dialling tone:-- "Thrilllll" for 2 seconds, pause for 4 seconds and repeat. I hung up after about 10 rings as I was not sure whether this is an engaged tone or not.
How can I tell the difference between engaged and not answered? Eamon Curran |

That would have been a ringing tone. They are longer than engaged tones or Google it.

pretty sure there's a website that lists all counties dialtones. Might even be on Wikipedia.
