There was a series in the late 1990s on BBC1 called 'Crime Traveller' which starred Michael French.
Potential there for a drama series along those lines,as is 'Time Tunnel'. Life On Mars it wasn't,admittedly. |

The Old Grey Whistle Test. Uncool bands need some exposure, which they can't get on Jools Holland.

Gladiators!! But will make me sad, because whatever they do, it won't be as good as the original series. The revival was okay, but it didn't touch the original, no way near. The best part of the new one is when they legends returned. I may have got a bit too excited.
I would love to see the oldies again, but they are all 45+ now pretty much, and a few don't have the power they had (obviously) as shown when they returned. But Ace and Lightening proved that they are still incredibly strong despite their age! I wish it was the 1990s again so I can relive it every week for 8 years. |

Ashes To Ashes or Life On Mars.
They could easily have got another couple of series out of those. |

What the Papers Say.
Local Heroes. Kitchen Nightmares (UK, which gave fascinating insights into running restaurants and team-building, rather than the US series which are formulaic shouting matches, though doubtless far better paid). David Starkey on history. Programmes (lectures, really) that assumed viewers had tuned in because they were interested in the subject. |

The White Mountains, as they never did finish the trilogy.
