The Nokia 6230 is a very good phone, I have had it for about 2 months and had no problems with it, except the buttons I feel are a bit small for me with my big fat thumbs !!

A review is here: http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=518

I have bought a Nokia 6600 which is a lot bigger for me so if you want to get the phone for your aunty she can have mine if you send me a personal message.

Cheers,

Simon

I agree 6230 is a great phone, with camera, but also has a radio and can play MP3's

Orange do the 6600 on pay as you go for £150. Its what I use and it does everything i need. And most importantly its tri-band.

@widdup -I'll buy your phone if its boxed.

Why 'preferably Nokia', just out of interest?

I'd look at the Motorola range, and maybe Sony Erricson (sp?), as I think they do the best handsets right now.

That's what she asked for. Probably because that's what she's used to.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, I've passed them on

Thanks. ”

Narrowing it down basically to about half of the entire Nokia range.
I would try and convince her of the joys of the other big manufacturers (Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Siemens & Samsung). If she doesn't budge stick to what you know and go with a 6230 or the clamshell version (6260?)

The phone will be on ebay from 8.30pm tonight, the link will be http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=6355056596

As it is a timed auction it will not be viewable until 8.30pm.

Yeah if you read my first post, I might have made it a bit unclear.

I have got a 6230, excellent phone just a bit small for me so I am flogging it on ebay.

The 6600 is the phone I have bought today to replace it.

Hope that makes sense.
