Anyone remember the hacienda?

Just wondering, cos I was chatting to someone last night who was sort of on the sidelines of it, knew Hooky and a few others. He had a quite few tales to tell

Always sad to go by that building on the train into Manchester and think what it must have been like back in it's glory days.

Never went there myself, but Dave Pearce often talks about the place on his radio shows

Being a dance music lover, I would loved to have been around during the Hacienda days, but I was too young! It was in Manchester, right? They had a good cd out a while back, it had a yellow cover I think.

Are you into electro or trance or techno or jazz funk or soul?

Yeah. I went there a few times with my girlfriend at the time.

My regret is I didn't see Laurent Garnier, as I had left Manchester by 1985 and he wasn't there until 1987 according to wiki.

Still, there is always YouTube nowadays.

It seemed to be essentially a converted warehouse, and my friends and I jokingly called it the aircraft hanger.
