I have just received my nexus 4 (48 hours after ordering on the Play Store). I have cut out the sim into the micro sim size, but the Nexus says No Sim. I have put the Sim back into my SGS2 and by placing the cut out sim carefully the SGS2 logs onto (Orange/Tmo) so the Sim still works. What can I do now?

Order a micro sim.

Yeah order a micro sim. I was going to cut mine but was advised not too.

OK, will do, I didn't get the sim eject tool so have to use a pin.

I had the same issue, ordered a micro sim from Three and got it the morning after. The networks are usually quick with replacement sims as any time you're not using the service you are potentially not making them money.

T-Mobile couldnt give a toss, £10 and it will turn up some time in the near future.

I went into a store to get a micro SIM to replace my regular one and was told you can't do it instore. Just rang T-Mobile support and was told it takes 3 days for a replacement SIM and they cut the old one off as soon as the new one is dispatched. They then told me to go into a store as they could swap it there and then!

Talk about mixed info. Clearly I must have got the shop person who couldn't be bothered that day!

As someone who knows people that work in retail i know what the shop staff can and cannot do and it shocks me how many time staff lie to the customer just because they can't be bothered to do something time consuming.

I've been told wrong info all the time and called various staff out on it. But hey, my hate of retail staff isn't exactly on topic.

Sim swap in store or via post is the only way.

Likewise. I have also worked in retail in the past. There are plenty of aspects where the job is dull or annoying, but that's no excuse for blatently lying. I'm tempted to go back to the same store and challenge the guy. T-Mo's customer service used to be excellent. I'm really disappointed.

Oddly i went in to a store after being told over the phone it would turn up whenever and they did it there and then mate, new new micro sim was working before i even left the shop (still cost a tenner though)
