Samsung Galaxy Ace 2
On offer with my current operator at the moment.
Seems like a crackimg deal BUT Seemingly only Gingerbread version of Android. Promises & rumour about Samsung bringing out a Jelly Bean release for the phone but nothing definative yet. I've had promises of manufactureres bringing out new software before & been let down. Anyone got one of these ? |

The phone is good for the price but don't think I would ever get samsung again. |

The deal is £15 per month. 24 month contract
200 mins 500 texts 500MB mobile data with Virgin Mobile. Yes I know you can probably get it cheaper than that but I don't want the hassle of changing providers plus the cheaper deals don't have as many mins / texts / MB. I wouldn't just tarnish Samsung with promising updates to phones. HTC did a number on me too. |

You will probably find that it updates to ICS when you get it.... It's still a cracking phone. I haven't bothered updating to the S3 or anything yet as the S2 is still head and shoulders above most of the phones out there and the S3 didn't offer much of an upgrade when I looked at the way I use the phone..

The Ace 2 has Gingerbread out the box. There is no ICS update afaik. I just got one for the wife a few weeks back. It's quite a nice phone.

The ace 2 is on GB and should be going straight to JB. |

The galaxy s2 isn't quite on jelly bean yet (some countries have had official roll outs, we're still constantly hitting "check for software update" in the UK).
The Ace 2 was on the list for a JB update though, and I've not heard anything that contradicts that stance. In fact here's something on it just posted today: http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/2013/0...latest-update/ |
