I've seen people going on about this elsewhere, the line of thought is that because december is currently blank, this means for sure we are getting a new doctor at the end of the year (note: i am not advocating this theory myself).

Untill otherwise i have this theory. Matt Smith will leave in the begining or middle of S8. Meaning he will probably film his final scenes towards the end of the year.

That's where the "potential spoiler" theory comes in. There are going to be 12 designs, but the last design isn't going to be announced until December, leading some people to theorise there will be a new Doctor by then.

Why are they using an image of the guy that played the first Doctor in "The Five Doctors" (can't remember his name) instead of one of William Hartnell? Worse than that they've even put William's name under the picture...With this level of competance I'd say spoiler, my arse!

I just take the blank ones to indicate that they will continue to produce the shirts after Matt leaves whenever that might be, rather than some clue that he is leaving.
