Ipad syncing to new computer without losing data
Hi
I recently bought a new Ipad mini but when I opened it and turned it on I could set it up without connecting it to my computer so I bought a few apps and games but NOW I want to add some stuff from my computer but when I connect it it asks me if I want to set it up as a NEW ipad.As I understand if I DO this I will lose all my saved games etc.Is there a way of transfering purchases and backing up before I set it up as a new device? |

You shouldn't need to set it up as a new device.
As part of the ipad setup, you will have created an Apple ID - go to your iTunes on your PC, choose the 'Store' menu, then 'Sign In'. iTunes will then prompt you for your Apple ID (the one you created when you set up the iPad) and the password. Once signed in, iTunes will synchronise any purchases you made on the iPad. It should also 'see' your iPad, because its registered to the same Apple ID. |
