I know someone who buys chips from the chippy and freezes half of them for another day. Sounds yuk to me. Mind you the same bloke adds cold baked beans to salads believe it or not!!.

Jeez, you eat some crap. Reheated chips with a ham roll?! It's barely food
A ham roll with good quality ham and a decent roll is also very nice. |

Sounds nice to me. Most chippies use two stage frying so all you are doing by freezing them is making it 3 stage which is what Heston Blumenthal recommends for perfect chips.
A ham roll with good quality ham and a decent roll is also very nice. |

I like chippie shop chips, but only if refried in my frier, the same day or the next day.

I sometimes place the chips in an ovendish and heat them in the oven.
I doubt if anyone else will agree, but I quite like cold fish and chips (i.e. the next day) but taken out of fridge and brought to room temperature first. Try it - you'll be surprised how much flavour they still have. Quite nice with salad cream....call me controversial! |

I do that. A good dollop of cold baked beans goes great with a salad.

Chips from the chip shop or Chinese are lovely the next day but chips from McD's/Burger King or KFC are awful reheated
