FYI, a great deal of work *is* going on regards the bandwidth usage and there should be a dramatic improvement in due course.

So from what you say the present situation re: usage isn't something that had been anticipated or is normal? Does Youview have the same issue or is it something that is peculiar to Freetime?

No-one seems to be 100% sure but most likely a combination of

Timeshift buffer, epg and recording schedule buffers, perhaps vod demand buffering as well.

Because of encrypted partitions it's not as easy to see what's going on as it is on the Foxsat-hdr

Thanks a million for your help, at first I thought I had made an error in the set up today. My first impressions of the box are that it's a really nice piece of kit.
