I like the BT Sport logo. I have a question though when the channel is up and running and they are showing programmes will the logo be faded so it isnt that much of a distraction

I just can't get over how inappropriate that logo is. It genuinely evokes telecoms in the most generic way, and in no way sells "sport" to me.
You mean like this one?

I'd hoped that they would ahvegone for something that could be incorporated into a Graphics set, at the moment it just looks like an an addendum that will be added to generic graphics, a bit like how the BBC Sport Logo appears at the bottom pages.

Sorry, but I really don't see the resemblance. Those old Sky Sports logos are pretty vulgar, but it was the 90s man. There was a lot of that going round. At least they had a sense of power and aggression, which at least slightly evokes sport.

You could replace the word "Sport" in the BT Sport logo with "Network" and nobody would bat an eyelid.

Sky Sports set to beat BT Vision for Carragher -

But the above is still not 100% confirmed though.

He made for a good pundit at the Euro's. The only thing that grates with some people is his accent.

But anyone that offers Adrian Durham out live on air can't be all bad!

Yes but it's very plug and play, look at when they showed the Masters Golf, it's was the Masters graphics set with the BBC Sport stuck to the bottom.

I was looking for BT to come up with something that they really could hang their hat on, BT have the great symbology in their Connected World Logo. It could have been used so much more effectively as the colours to a full graphics set, the Globe could be used as in the same way as CBS use the "Eye" on smaller in match graphics.

THere is lots of things they could have done...but sadly haven't

Will BT sign James Richardson & Gab Marcotti plus pundits to present live Seria A football on their 2-3 newly sport channels?

If that's shown on screen it will be too wide IMO for that kind of logo. Sport would be better under BT (in a smaller font) to avoid an intrusive monstrosity. If they keep it as it is, they should drop the brightly coloured background, shrink it and show it at 75% transparency, keeping all of it outside the 4:3 safe area.

We've had similar discussions about the BBC One HD logo in the past and thankfully, they listened and fixed it.

Oh... no. That won't be the logo presented on the TV screen. This is just the promotional logo for advertising the service. Though I have no idea what the on screen logo will actually look like.

How would you possibly know if it will be used on screen or not? We've been presented with this as the BT Sport logo so there is no reason at present to believe this won't be made opaque and located in one of the corners of the screen...

I am a BT customer and have been for a number of years. I know how they present their products and then how the actual products look.

You are not a BT customer and so know no such thing. But thanks for asking.

And whilst I'm at it don't you tell me what I can and can't say on this forum. How dare you. My thoughts are my own and I will say them.

And, via the YouView platform, the only two providers of both Sky and BT Sport will be BT and TalkTalk. There will be, via Now TV, no live sports and no live channels on the YouView platform. And it's Sky that said that, not me.

As for your other waffling...

Your comments are just fine on this forum, mlt11.

But if your talking about Sky Sports on the Now TV app, Sky won't say.

TalkTalk are already 'broadcasting' Sky Sports via YouView. And if BT secure such content, they will too. Now TV will not.
Do you know something that the rest of us don't? We know that live channels won't be available on Now TV via YouView but this is not set in stone as how it will always be.

There is every possibility and likelihood that live channels will be added on to the YouView service from Now TV further down the line. Please don't spread misinformation.

Stop telling people that it's effectively case closed for Now TV to offer live Sky Sports because that's just not true.
You don't have the right to tell me what I may or may not say on this forum. And you don't have the right to tell anyone else either.

I stand by my post as I asked you to stop spreading misinformation... something you have a habit of doing.

I won't enter into a public slanging match as it's not fair on other users. I will use the alert function instead. Feel free to do the same.

Will BT Sport be available in Ireland or what?

Is BT Sport available on Sky when it launches?

Quick question:

As I understand it:

1) Via NowTV on YouView there will be no live Sky Sports

But:

2) Subscribing directly to NowTV (non YouView) there will be live Sky Sports.

So the question is: Why would anyone subscribe to NowTV on YouView? Surely it would be better to subscribe directly to NowTV (non YouView)?

Or is there something else that you would get via NowTV on YouView that you would not get subscribing directly to NowTV (non YouView)? If so, what is it?

NB. I realise there is also BT YouView and Talk Talk YouView which are other options with various advantages. But I'm just trying to clarify the differences between the NowTV YouView and NowTV non YouView options.

If one wanted the up coming live Sky Sports channels on Now TV then YouView just wouldn't be an option. And thats the way YouView want it.

As YouView didn't really design YouView to make it easy to access the live Sky content. A user would be far better just subscribing directly with Sky, if they wanted such. And such users are not YouViews real target market, anyway.

Here's the BT Sport logo, if nobody has already posted it. Courtesy of Nick Harris on Twitter:

Hold on, I have been a customer of BT a good number of years and I wouldn't be as naive as to say that!

People have differing views. That's good. You can't just dismiss someone else because you can't convince them of your side of the discussion.
