Craig Doyle is a great coup for BT Sport. A fine presenter in my opinion.

The studio looks pretty good. You can tell the difference in how seriously Sky take their coverage compared to BT just from the comparison of noise level from the studio audience when BT went live and in Sky's preview show on Tuesday.

I'd prefer the DOG to be in a top corner. We'll see if that remains for during live sport.

Did Bayfield just say rugby has never had this level of exposure?

Well if they don't go on VM XL I would hate to predict the TV audience for the first live Aviva game.

Even ESPN with 1.8m VM XL often only got 30,000 to 40,000 for regular Aviva games.

Without VM XL? Under 20,000 I would think.

It's amazing how much more important things like top 14 rugby come across, simply by showing it and covering it like it's a big deal.

Claire Balding holding a Channel 4 mic, with Jake acknowledging she's there for them. Which is...different.

Channel 4 are handling BT Sport's advertising or something - somebody else will clarify I'm sure!

Relations between the two are good it seems.

I honestly don't think anyone is going to be that bothered by Clare Baldings programme, or any of the programming other than live sport.

A taste of what's to come. The first ever advert on BT Sport is advertising their own coverage, and the second is an Infinity advert.

On all known current form i,ll still be trying to speak to them at midnight. Yes I know its launch day n all but theyre a phone company youd think theyd be capable of having some phone lines and folks that you can actually speak to manning them .....wouldnt you ?....getting on for 40 minutes now ....ludicrous.

Wasn't he the BBC's great white hope a few years ago? Then he was dropped and ended up doing double glazing adverts.

He used to present a holiday programme on the BBC and has done rugby previously for ITV.

Hi all

I've got freeview and want to watch BT Sport, I have broadband with them but it seems there isnt an option to add BT Sport to my broadband to watch on freeview. I dont want to have to pay extra on top of what I already pay. I thought the idea of having BT Broadband was that you can watch it for free?

That's why if I have any problems viewing the BT Sport HD channels after midnight as HD dos'nt appear on my BT Sport account, I've sent them an email instead of phoning them, as they will be busy on Friday as well.

BT sport HD 2 seems louder than HD1 anyone else notice this. Agree with the great picture quality though.

Once today dies down bt sport will rarely be watched bar the odd rugby game and the odd premiership game. Sky leads the way most weekends and has the most watchable content

*Grumble* Virgin Media *Grumble*

I thought VM would have got their act together and got the BT Sports channels at launch.

To lose the ESPN stations (which were part of the XL pack) and get nothing in return is terrible.

They should get the deal done and get those channels onto the XL pack ASAP.

Top 14 Rugby is arguably the best Rugby league in the world, many of the top players play there due to a lack of a salary cap.

I am a huge, huge, HUGE Sky fan, will support and defend Sky to the bitter end....

But I have to admit that right now BT Sport have upped the bar on presentation and smoothness and, based on last season anyway, have left Sky Sports looking very dated.

I know Sky are shaking up their game for the new football season too, but they've got a hell of a stretch to make up the difference.

I am eagerly awaiting the live football tonight to see how it's presented, on screen graphics etc etc

I've felt Sky needed a shake up and refresh for a year or two, so they'd best for do something because I think bt sport is about to make my beloved Sky look just a bit naff.
