When I'm watching BT Sport Apps its saying on screen now BT Sport 1 and 2 without the HD. Is anyone's picture screen of those 2 channels of the Apps saying that without the HD. Is it saying BT Sports 1 and 2 HD on anyones BT Sport Apps or is it like mine without.

Maybe not the studio as such but on site you know what I mean (I think)

I really like not only the appearance of the studio but also the idea of having multiple sections broadcasting at once.

The ability to point out that the tennis section is on air right now and for Jake and Craig to go their separate ways to present different sports simultaneously is pretty powerful.

I'm also impressed by the coverage they have given to sport outside of the Premier League. Now this could be due to the launch and a need to look like they cover a wide range of stuff, but I'm pleased to see the Aviva Premiership getting extensive treatment among other things, even if I personally don't hold an interest in these sports.

For some reason I imagined BT focusing so much on their PL games and their so called top picks, but have been pleasantly surprised at the restraint so far. Having said all that, the PL is the reason this venture exists, and if they were to lose it at any point in the future, I reckon they'd ditch the operation all together ESPN style.

What is the story behind bt anyway?
Ok they have a bt1 and bt2 channel though also have espn. How come this isnt bt3? Also why are there 3 bts on freeview where 1 and 2 are scrambled. Will 57 vanish altogether after this free launch night?

The music is a bit Casio school piano not very hard hitting seems quite soft. Prefer more serious sport and music, bt is very much more family orientated and less serious

We also have a BT Phone line and Infinity 2. You can watch BT Sports online through a laptop or tablet although we've not had much success this evening. When I try to log on to 'watch now' on the tablet it tells me that I have too many streams running (or words to that effect). The coverage on my desktop is breaking up and buffering regularly.

Not impressed...

Ha your very rude arnt you son

Just think it's very childish and novicy, some of the presenters don't know much about the sports and ask ridiculous questions, and alot of try hards by bt to add jokes such as des Kelly being on fire? Not really my thing. Prefer the more serious aspect to the sport because at the end of the day it has to be serious or you wouldn't get the emotion we show when we watch it

That would get annoying. Another aspect to this is if a live event overruns its EPG slot, like you might expect with live WTA, are the BT Sport channels part of the live EPG update system as with Eurosport and Sky Sports - or, perhaps as we might expect, are they like ESPN or Motors TV which do not update in the event of an overrun but are 24 hour updates.

So a Manchester United fan hopes United make the top 6?! That's why you shouldn't have fans on!

Nice to see the commentators in-vision regularly though (Sky should continue doing this) even if the handover between James and Hargreaves at half-time was pretty awkward!

The other issue with fans is shouting and abuse and foul language that may occur when an idiot gets onto the show

You've not said one good thing. Not being rude. Certainly not blinkered like some 'son'. Balance opinions/criticism cuts two fold.

Yeah this hasn't come up yet, has it? Anyone know if BT's Sky EPG status is one which is informed if a live event overruns?

For example, ESPN get complaints if an overnight live UFC sky+ recording event stops before conclusion or an NBA game is cut off should it take longer than the allocated 2 hours (the workaround is to record the programme after but this didn't seem to satisfy those that it upset by cutting out).

The reason why some of the sports channels don't do it is because the agreement would cost more so hence keeps running costs down. Looking at BT's studios (all right it is only first night) I did wonder - who on earth is paying for this? Broadband retentions?!

I think having 'fans' on shows is a rubbish idea, but I'm sure they'll have been vetted, or there will be something in place. Hell, for all we know it could be on a few second delay

I don't get why everyone is getting annoyed about this. Does it matter which corner the DOG is in?

Sky Sports live programes seem to cope ok if a programe overruns unlike ESPN always had problems with overruns with recordings.

Yes. The clue is in the name of the game: Football. Foot (and ball) are most commonly at the bottom of the screen.

This is a forum for opinions. I've expressed mine and you've spat a dummy out.

If you can't afford sky don't knock it. Sky for me are miles ahead of any sports television, far better presenters and pundits. In my view

Yeh I agree they will be vetted but even so that won't stop a few mindless idiots shouting opinions over.

I can afford it but choose not to just as I choose not to make patronising comments like yours.

Pretty big assumption... Well I've had sky for 9 years in the household.

I like a lot about sky, same with ITV and the Beeb. I can criticise but praise with balance. You still have shown nothing positive about BT, it's been all 'Sky is best I don't care about anything else' Bit balanced criticism is fine. Not blinkered. A forum is of opinions. Balanced opinions.

Sadly the people paying for it will be the ones who probably have no interest in it through their land line and broadband subscriptions, just like Sky Sports is probably propped up by the 50% or so of customers who don't subscribe to Sky Sports.

Yes exactly I've had Sky Digital since day one, but I can see that BT Sport has had an excellent opening night and they will be a good competitor to Sky.
