37 [13] = Theresa McQueen = 7.53% (Round One)
Ranking History (14-13-37)
After two years making the top 15, Theresa takes a massive tumble on the rankings and failed to even get past round 1. For her, Theresa has had a bit of a quiet year really; when compared to other years when she killed Calvin, was kidnapped in the Warren shenanigans, nearly ended up as a Silas victim and the whole seeing Ethan stuff. Off course she has remained a big part of the show due to her being a McQueen, but unlike other years she hasn't been a big driving force of a character.

36 [35] = Tilly Evans = 7.70% (Round One)
Ranking History (X-35-36)
Dipping just a place is the highest ranked ginger lesbian on the soap; Tilly. Tilly is a character who hasn't featured hugely in storylines and really is only just starting to majorly come into her own with the whole Esther plot. Before then she was a bit like Maddie's doorstep and lived in her shadow. She fell for her teacher Jen and looks set to reveal everything to everyone in order to prove Esther's bullying story. There were rumours floating around that Tilly was going to be leaving the show, however weather that happens or not remains to be seen.

35 [50] = Dirk Savage = 7.89% (Round One)
Ranking History (X-50-35)
Up Next at 35 is Dirk who takes a massive 15 place climb up the character rankings. Last year Dirk was the lowest ranking character of 2012, however I think that was pretty much down to the fact that the character was hardly shown. Towards the end of 2012 & beginning of 2013 has seen quite a lot of Dirk action as he deals with the Savage clan and the fall out of Dodger's real parentage. I think Dirk is probably one of the better members of the Savage clan and is the second highest ranked (below Dodger), I think with the families continued presence on the show we will no doubt be seeing more Dirk shenanigans throughout the year.

Can't say I disagree with many of these - Texas, Ash and Theresa are all very weak characters in my opinion and I don't like any of them! . I think Theresa's fall from grace is more to do with her grating ditzy OTT-ness rather than a lack of stories.

Justice has been done.

That's a shame, very good character in my opinion... him and Myra work so well together as well.

34 [08] = Doug Carter = 8.04% (Round One)
Ranking History (44-08-34)
Taking the biggest fall of any characters this year is Doug who falls 26 places and is the first of last years top 10 to drop out (other than just not being included obviously). Doug took a massive climb last year when he was involved with Lynsey, the Silas plot and the Mercedes/ Riley wedding dramas. Then later on in 2013 he hugged Ste and seemingly turned gay. As a viewer I have watched the scenes between Doug and Ste and you can see why Doug has lost quite a lot of character support as there is no chemistry there at all and it is seemingly completely out the blue. Then subsequently proposing to Ste and getting married were all big character mistakes. Thankfully Doug went away and has come back, hopefully as a better character, free from the shackles of Stoug Love.

If only they'd use Tilly more! I think she's all kinds of lovely.

33 [NE] = Patrick Blake = 8.05%% (Round One)
Ranking History (X-X-33)
Patrick is a new entry at 33, a character who has been in the show for a relatively small period of time and is in store to take over as the new headmaster of Hollyoaks High. The character was introduced as the biological father of Dodger which has lead to a showdown and mild punch up with Dirk. On the rankings, Patrick manages to stay just about Dirk and wins the Dodger Dad War. I think with Patrick getting the job at the school means he will be in the show a lot more and with the potential for a lot more storylines throughout 2013.

32[NE] = Lacey Kane = 8.33%% (Round One)
Ranking History (X-X-32)
Entering at 32 is the youngest of the Kane clan and a character who has actually had an off screen departure just before Christmas so hasn't actually been in 2013. It's a shame Lacey has gone to be honest as I thought she had a lot of potential as a character, well at least until she got involved with Ally. Thankfully the other Kane's are still about, so I guess she could return at some point in the future if required.

31[NE] = Seamus Brady = 8.90%% (Round One)

Just missing out on a place in the top 30 is Brendan's abusive father; Seamus. Seamus is an important character in the Brendan story and when he came into the show, Brendan got Joel to try and kill him.... however Seamus Lives! I'm sure he'll play an important part in Brendan's exit from the show, however like a fair few characters I doubt he'll be around for the 2014 Favourite Hollyoaks Character vote.

30 [NE] = Nana McQueen = 4.29% (Round Two)
Ranking History (X-X-30)
Next up and kicking off the round 2 cast offs is a character who returned from the wilderness last year; Nana McQueen. She was last really seen during the whole Nial debacle and returned early this year with her mobility scooter in tow. I don't mind Nana and think she provides some good comic relief to some of the scenes she is in. It also feels good to have a much older cast member in Hollyoaks as well. Hopefully Nana will be knocking around a while longer and doesn't go MIA again.

Yep, not doubt Brendan will win again.

29 [NE] = Sienna Blake = 5.40% (Round Two)
Ranking History (X-X-29)
The second new entry in the top 30's is Dodger's twin sister Sienna; like her brother Sienna is extremely good looking and is actually a fairly interesting character. Probably because not much is known about her yet and she is yet to have a huge storyline, but I think the character will probably bring some good drama to the Savage clan and the show in 2013. Her arrival has already rocked the boat with Dirk and will be interesting to see what happens with her and Patrick's continued presence in the village.

He's only won once, so you can give your eyeballs a rest .
