I don't get why they stopped digging once they found the legs? If their looking for a body surely they should have just continued their.
There are a whole load of regulations involved in excavating skeletons especially in public places. Plus, they did not expect to find a body and, excavating bodies of potential importance requires skill to ensure any disgnostic evidence is not contaminated or lost

Poor beggar dead 500 years and there's still a maniac with a mattock bashing his skull in.

So the 'expert' has just caved his skull in!

Can't we start again with some well adjusted people who do actually know what they are doing?

...
If she wasn't so enthusiastic, this discovery wouldn't have been made now.
It all sounded a hell of a lot more than a long shot and then, what do you know.

I heard a radio interview last summer with some guy whose family are in Canada and they are the link (through his mother) to prove the DNA to modern day, so am watching with interest.

Agreed. No care appears to have been taken at all.

Agreed.........I was somewhat surprised by that. They should have stopped immediately and hand trowelled down......whoever they thought it was.

Since when is it a crime to show a bit of emotion?

Anyone watching? The blonde architect comes across as a loony already.
If you mean Philippa Langley, she's a screenwriter not an architect and is the reason this whole project ever got going in the first place. She's a member of the Richard III Society and has been trying to find Richard III's possible burial site for quite a number of years.

Think we can safely say there won't be many calls for her next time there's an important dig.

she's a bit of a drama queen isn't she?
I suppose to her it's the equivelent of a Big Brother fan 200 years from now (yes it will still be on) doing some gardening and digging up the skull of Jade Goody.

Whatever she is. She's clearly a nutjob.

Why, she's not an archaeologist.

Whatever she is. She's clearly a nutjob.
She's not a nutjob, she's someone whose been searching for Richard III for years and did plenty of valid research to come up with this location before she went to the University of Leicester for help.
Nobody expected to find anything or took her seriously at all originally until they started to find the bones in the right place and with all the other historical evidence.

About someone who died 500 years ago? She is acting like they are digging up her first born.

Showing emotion is normal, her reactions are that of a whacko who is obsessed.

I think channel 4 could do a whole special featuring her and her abnormalities.

This seems more like an episode of Most Haunted with Yvette Fielding!
Yeah! How could anyone not remember Derek Acorah's infamous 'Mary Loves Dick!'

I must say, it was very good of Sideshow Bob to give up his time to front this documentary.
