orange
I think 02 are running their network with much less spare capacity than the other networks. Because so many people use the payg genie sims text messages can sometimes take a while and if everyones texting at the same time the cells cannot cope. I guess it helps that orange have more cells than any other network, i could call and text fine all night although like overs have said no delivery reports.

T-Mobile, Orange, Three and Vodafone were all working fine in Nottingham around midnight.
02 hadn't been working properly since 2100 (network busy), GPRS was down all night |

Well, T-Mobile here. couldnt send any text from about 23.30 until 02.15!!!! Calls were ok, outgoing, but people say they couldnt ring me they got an engaged tone! I noticed my signal kept dropping out for a few minutes (when i know the area i was in has excellent reception) Even now i cannot send messages to any 'Three' networked phone. It just comes up 'Unable to send, message saved in unsent items' I can still send texts to 02, T-Mobile and Orange?!
Has the 'Three' network crashed for incoming texts? ToM |

I'm still having problems on o2
Text's take about 3 attempts to send...calls keep saying "Failed" Then again thats probably just o2 in general - nothing to do with the New Year! RE: New Year (Midnight) - I managed to send all my texts without fail on o2 about 1min past midnight....they just didn't get to the people i sent them to until about 6am this morning!

Mines going through an even worse phase than usual - Has lost its network completely and refuses to find o2 (Comes up T-Mobiles, Vodafone and Orange though?) whereas the three other o2 phones in my house are working fine...

My phone didn't seem to let me down and I managed to call pretty much everyone in my phone book at around 1am to wish them a happy new year in a pissed up state surrounded by others in the same state. Wish it had had problems really, would have saved the apology texts I had to send to many people today....
