It was mentioned in a Not Going Out and it was perceived as a normal thing.

Hugh Fearnley Whatsisface cooked one up a few years ago.

It was served at a "birthing festival", which was some new age hippy shyte alternative to a christening. They poured some placental blood onto a tree too.

It doesn't appeal to me and I'm pretty sure there are limited health benefits. Animals only eat the placenta so that predators aren't attracted to them.

I mentioned in my post in the first link that on the HFW prog a veggie did eat it as she classed it as a by-product.
