You ignore the fact that the current Youview boxes are just as crippled in so many ways as a Sky box.

Quite why anyone with a twin tuner Freesat+ box is so interested in catch up is a tad baffling

With +1 channels and repeats how many programmes does anyone need to watch on vod ?”

IMO from the TT members forum, the youview box is far more crippled than the freesat freetime box, at least we have full control of the freetime box, AFAIK youview cannot even change the simple things such as aspect ratio

I thought you had upgraded from a Freesat+ box to <free time>

Demand5 and 4OD were promised on <free time> (made by Humax) by the end of 2012. Still waiting.

I have both boxes. As you ought to know the delay with Demand5 and 4OD is down to the broadcasters, not Humax or Freesat. So yes still waiting but unlike Panasonic and other makers with the ITV1 player debacle it will happen as promised.

Perhaps as Freesat is owned by ITV and BBC they should have gone with YouView also part owned by ITV and BBC, rather than their own version, which is causing problems?

Would have been so much easier for broadcasters, manufacturers and consumers.

I would assume part of the reason YouView is not on Freesat could be to do with some of YouView's partners ie: Talk Talk & BT as their TV services are Terrestrial based and not Satellite.

Not too sure which problems your referring to?
4OD & Demand 5 are delayed purely because of how 4 & 5 want their service implemented on the FreeTime platform.

I for one am awaiting a working DLNA server. If the box doesn't have that there is no way I moving away from my Foxsat HDR.
