I was in my local CeX store today and I saw the following priced for just 20p each:

Five - Invisible
Destiny's Child - Writings on the Wall
Geri Halliwell - Schizophrenic
All Saints - Saints and Sinners
Boyzone - Where We Belong
Jem - Finally Woken
S Club 8 - Sundown
Atomic Kitten - Right Now

As it appears that the majority is old 90s acts that are no longer around and some music from the noughties era (S Club 8, Atomic Kitten and Jem)... Is it too cheap to only ask 20p for these albums or is it all they are realistically worth?

Looking at that list, I don't think I'd part with 20p for them all!

As a rule of thumb, like charity shops, these CD selections tend to be dominated by boy & girl bands (especially from the 90's), subsequent solo albums from those band members, reality show winners/contestants, and TV stars trying their hand at singing... all records that sold well at the time because of the various hypes, but years later have no re-listenability, so are the first in the pile to get given away... 20p is probably about right!

Destiny's Child - Writings on the Wall is one of the greatest cross over RnB albums of the last 20 years. Easily their most accomplished work.

It normally depends on the condition of the cd, not necessary of the status of the artist/band.

Pardon me if i am wrong, but i am wary of buying CD's from CEX because the discs look like they have been dragged through the mud and the cases look like a toddler doodled on it.

I said in another thread that a lot of the original owners of those CDs probably bought them when they were kids/young teens and into those groups but sold the CDs off when they grew out of the music.
