Which one to buy
Is there any reason not to buy a an Xbox 4g instead of a 250g. I'm a complete novice and it's for my son. I've reserved both and need to make a decision today!

hi there no hard drive on the 4gb, which means you wont be able to download anything really or install games the 4gb will only be suitable for game saves less wear on the disc drive when installing, and also less chance of discs being damaged if the machine is knocked just get the 250 gb |

Or go into GAME and see if they have the bundle where you get a 320GB hard drive free - you get more space then and it's cheaper than a 250GB

I'd go for a 250Gb or 320Gb console and forget about the 4Gb. Depending on how much your son wants to download from Xbox Live (demos or downloadable content/dlc/add ons for games he may get). I have a 250Gb HDD and even then i'm running out of space. Also take into consideration any updates from Microsoft will take up space on the HDD. So it's worth getting a decent sized HDD.

I would say go for the 250 GB it is enough and gives you the option to download demos instead of full games then if they like them enough you can go get the full game. My son doesn't have his xbox plugged into the internet all the time but I plug it in when he wants a demo and it usually keeps him busy for a while then if he really likes it he can get the full game.
Most game demos are about 1-3 gbs so 4 gB wont go far and that doesnt include updates and game saves Hope this helps |

Thanks everyone. Really helpful. I've just got back and have bought the 250. I was standing in Argos on my phone checking out the posts
Got £40 off as well. He likes minecraft and wants to play with his school mates. Obviously from what you are all saying the 250 was the one to go for. Can't wait until tomorrow now as its his birthday and I keep telling him how expensive it is and he's not going to be expecting it
