I don't see it happening right now? Steven doesn't seem to have any other projects he wants to leave to work on. Sherlock is constrained by the fact that Martin and Benedict are unavailable.

That's what I thought regarding Steven but I could see why he would want to leave at the same time as 'his' Doctor, like RTD. He must have a lot more projects on the horizon given the success of Sherlock and writing for Spielberg's Tintin!

Wouldn't be surprised if Matt was to leave, Doctor Who filming must be getting to rather difficult? 7.1, Christmas special, 7.2 and then the anniversary! That's an insane schedule! And obviously the movie, well done him!

I think it's possible, and I don't think it's time for SM to go as the amount of plates he's spinning is starting to have a negative effect on Doctor Who, both in his writing and his rate of output. I've immensely enjoyed his era but he's too big for the show now, sadly.

If there's going to be a change of showrunner I'd much rather it be Paul Cornell, he's always been my favourite new series writer after Moffat. I'm not crazy about any of Toby Whithouse's episodes, but School Reunion was very nice to be fair.

I don't want Matt to go yet.

If its true, I'm sad to see Matt go. Mind you, he's done the same amount of years as Tennant.
On the other hand, glad if Moffat's leaving. Don't get me wrong, he's a very good writer but his stories were far better when he only had to do one a year and he's messed around with the show so much.

Tennant did three full series and 8 specials, a total of 47 episodes (though also had a couple of animations).
Matt will have done three full series and 4 specials, 43 episodes.

Toby has a spy drama for BBC1 coming called The Game but again, I wouldn't rule out the possibility.

It would cause some uproar though with him being the first non British actor in the role.

Its mad when you put it like that because for some weird reason I still consider Matt to be a 'new' doctor in some ways. It doesn't feel like his time to go yet unlike with Tennant who I felt had run his course.

All just speculation at the moment and perhaps coincidence but I feel Matt will film his final episodes this year

Yep, he wrote all but the later draft or drafts. He would have written it all, and the 2nd one if he'd not taken the Doctor Who job

I like him as Hal, and Hal make's for a more quirky vampire than Aiden Turner's rather generic dark and moody Mitchell, but he's a bit too handsome leading man type for me. Out of the current 'Being Human' cast I could see Steven Robertson in the role.

Completely agree. Perhaps it's because Tennant had three main companions and plenty of recurring friends, whereas Smith is only just going on to his second individual companion (if you count the Ponds as one couple for this purpose) and River the only recurring friend.

Remember the posters who were talking about the various things with 12 designs including the one at the Blackpool Illuminations where the 12th design is hidden for two months after it opens, and nearly everyone said it was a coincidence or them seeing patterns that aren't there?
Why is it that someone on here will point at something tiny and probably irrelevant in the background of a picture and half the board will insist it's a Clue (often to some minor background plot), but when things are practically shouting "Imminent regeneration!!" IMO, that one's obviously a coincidence?

(I may be wrong obviously, but if you consider all of them, it definitely looks like more than a coincidence )

Which if it is the 12th Doctor means that he's going on Promo material (presumably in costume) over a month before he even appears on screen (if the regeneration is in the 50th).

So unless Matt actually regenerates in the 7B Finale* giving us an appearance by Doc12 before October I can't see the 12th TARDIS being an image of the 12th Doctor.

And if this does happen hats off to Moffat for keeping a regeneration and casting of a new Doctor totally secret.
