^Those are very early issues you're talking about, the Son of Andy Capp thing didn't last long. Andy simply stopped appearing, but his wife Flo (referred to as Mum, of course) did appear often. Of course, Andy Capp is still published, but Buster has to my knowledge NEVER been mentioned.

Buster was the "last man standing" of IPC's comics empire. It was where all the lesser comics effectively went to die, so by the early nineties it was kind of a "greatest hits" package of the most popular characters from comics past. Sales were still strong in 1999, apparently it was cancelled simply because nobody could be bothered to keep it going any more.

Desperately seeking help for a buster in a haystack (needle ) rubbish I know we the art of true love runner deep as I am trying to locate a buster comic that my partner sent a joke to and received a postal order. Now Gus s gags ended in 1979. My partner was 10 then so I'm guessing he would have wrote in between 76-79. Long shot I know. But can you help ???? Will you help ??? Please help from Polly

Buster was my favourite comic in the 90s.

My favourite was Vid Kid.
