Nope. still too expensive for new games (£44.99 for DS 3 and £40 or less in the supermarkets) and still relying far too much on the preowned market.

Well the last one I walked past seemed to have a tidier and more enticing shop window, which is a start I guess. Guaranteed though that the sea of pre-owned FIFAs selling for 99p a pop will still be there, and the last time I went in one the price of new games seems to have gone up. Not that I'm complaining about the price increase, or maybe the prices went up before they went into administration.

No. I think they are worse. Online shopping takes ages to arrive, overpriced and poor trade ins.

In a way, they're getting better- they're moving into being a slightly more broad 'gaming' store- I bought Hyrule Historia from there and I've seen a book on Football Manager in there too- as well as the usual small handful of Angry Birds/Mario plushes.

On the other hand, they're still only stocking about two new games per system and they both cost a million pounds, but hey ho.

Whenever I've been in the prices still are ridiculously high. I did mutter to my friend how it was those prices that caused the adminstration problems in the first place and you'd think they'd learn.

Preowned prices didn't see that great either.

I am a big fan of the website, never failed with any pre orders and the delivery is very quick. I ordered a game at 8am, shipped by 11am and delivered 48 hours later when we had all the snow.

The shops are pants, massive emphasis on pre owned and doesn't mention anywhere that you would need to spend more to get online pass etc which I think is sneaky (especially when the pre owned prices are generally only a couple of quid lower than new)

On a pre-owned title that needs an online pass it should have a sticker saying "ask staff about extra content" or words to that effect, so either you shop is incapable of stickering or you can't read

I have never seen this on a used game in GAME...

It always shocks me when I buy a used game and the code in the box works, I got one from CEX the other day with a working code and from the looks of the manual it had been traded to GAME before as well so at least two people have owned that and never entered the code to unlock extra missions and a weapon.

I don't know if this is the same for all online pass titles as I've only ever had one, but since they don't put that scratchy silver stuff over the code then there's no way of knowing by looking if the code's been used or not.

Which is a strange one, as if they really wanted to devalue the used market, the best way to do that would be to make the codes a bargaining chip for used sellers...

Game are extortionate........The new games are over-priced and some of the pre-owned titles are nearly as expensive.......yet they give you a pittance for them when you trade.....

Far Cry 3 for example new, was £36, yet it was a pound cheaper pre-owned (without the codes for the Lost Expeditions)

Much better to trade in at CEX........

which is also bonkers for trade in - Battlefield 3 Limited £10 trade in, yet BF3 Premium they offer £26......

without the unique codes (which are most probably used) both these games are identical
