I found a traybake recipe my mum used in the 60s. I'm sure it's completely unhealthy but I remember it was yummy.

The recipe calls for suenut butter. Has anyone heard of it and do you know where I can buy it?

from what I have have found suenut seems to be a nut derived oil so I assume suenut butter is the same as or similar to peanut butter.

Thanks all. That is more or less what I found out.

Peanut butter would have too strong and distinctive a taste to be a substitute. Also suenut is white and that is part of the appeal of the finally product - a white 'bar' with fruit etc in it.
