She's still got it! It was everything I hoped it would be and then some. Don't Worry Kyoko in particular blew me away! And now I'm going to get tickets for her Double Fantasy show as well!

Not about her music, but have you heard about the new art project she's working on? Linky It sounds extremely interesting- I'm thinking of sending stuff in, I would be thrilled to be included. Better get the mascara out!
I hope she records some new material soon, Between My Head & the Sky is a fantastic album. It's great she's finally getting some recognition in her own right, even if it is with numpties like Gaga.

Let's not talk about Gaga, she's just annoying.
Anyway Yoko has a new album out this year apparently, look here to listen to the new song...http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=98509 |

More new songs:
Tabetai (featuring Tune-Yards) Cheshire Cat Cry (with Lenny Kravitz) Awesome! ![]() I love the album Between My Head & The Sky, a real fantastic album from Yoko and the band. I've pre-ordered my copy of Take Me To The Land of Hell already, so excited to hear all of Yoko's new ideas on this album she's always so inspirational and innovative. |

Unfortunately for Yoko she garners a lot of heat and hatred due to her "Beatles affilation"....!

The new album is really fantastic, get it guys, support great music!
![]() @boysforpele - Hard to answer, always depends on the listener, I'd say either Rising or Approximately Infinite Universe for the more contemporary fan but if you want to hear something more abrasive and left-field then try the Fly album or perhaps the new one "Take Me To The Land of Hell" which has a mix of electronic, jazz/blues with her avant-garde style etc

Just read a great story on Yoko about the stormy 'White Album' sessions. Apparently, she made the cardinal sin of taking one of George Harrison's digestive biscuits without asking, who promptly quit the band. She then sat on his seat and started to sing her patented banshee wail, and soon the other three Beatles, admitting themselves beaten, joined in as her backing group!
That says quite a lot about the womans confidence if nothing else. |

![]() I quite admire the woman. Anyone who had to put up with the monstrous ego coming from that band, particularly at the end, and come out unscathed is worthy of admiration. |

Well that album was released in 2007...it's just an album of re-workings so I doubt it's influenced Bjork greatly since.
I get the feeling you don't know much of Yoko's music, you should try her sometime.

She's certainly an artist who has become more appreciated and adored in recent years. I saw her interviewed on British tv earlier this year, and there seemed to be a lot of affection for her that had always seemed to be lacking in previous years.
