Is he just a dumbstruck numpty serving platitudes or what?????
Jesus, what does he offer?!?! He should have done a lot better with Lucy there. |

Agreed. Tamwar is a complete and utter bore who must surely rank amongst the shows worst ever characters. The whole 'awkward teenager' act has been done to death with him. He should be sble to talk properly with people. Maybe a Lucy/Tamwar affair could occur?

Liked him with Lucy today. Thought their scene spoke volumes.
Hope they become friends as I can see it working actually. |

It's a suspension of reality - he's a guy in his 20s and in fairness, he'd by now be getting his life back on track.
There's no structure or foundation for Tam, and EE have let this one deliberately fester away..... |

A big problem with Tamwar is that Himesh is just a terrible actor. They use the "awkward teenager" character to try and hide it, but tonight his limitations were painfully obvious.

She would eat him alive
![]() ![]() The character of Tamwar doesn't seem to have changed since he first appeared. In a soap world full of ever changing characters, I quite like the fact Tanwar is still the same. |

I thought his scene with Lucy tonight was horrendous! She basically told him something that genuinely worries her and he just looks at her like he was saying "I dont give a shit"
As someone else pointed out the boy who plays him is terrible and lifeless! |

The most of annoyance in relation to Lucy that there's just very little or no social skills including eye-contact/sensitivity - not really a portrayal of East End, and if anything, the more I think of it, the more it annoys me in what The Soap is supposed to stand for - Community spirit and togetherness, NOT INSULAR TAMWAR!

He's supposed to be deadpan, that's the whole thing. Nothing shocks him, and he's not particularly good at showing his emotions. Which means he rather sticks out in a soap, but I still adore him because he's hilarious and rather sweet.
I think the scene with Lucy was realistic - Lucy never talks to him, so the shock of that added with the whole lump thing meant he had no idea what to say. |

There are plenty of socially awkward people who remain that way well into later life. Some people change and become more comfortable with themselves, some people don't - especially those who suffer a further knock to their self-confidence by being deformed in a fire.
In a show where practically every character is loud and confident and has no qualms about giving it what-for, I often find Tamwar surprisingly refreshing in his believability. |

As someone else pointed out the boy who plays him is terrible and lifeless! ![]() ![]() It's true the character can be boring, but he does have his refreshing moments as felixrex has pointed out in his post. I still don't like how the writers dealt with the aftermath of the B&B fire. Remember how we were promised big, emotional scenes with Tamwar struggling with the trauma of his scars and depression? What we ended up with was nothing of the sort and they barely gave Tamwar any screentime lol. |

The guy who plays him is pretty limited it cant be denied, but i'd still like them to explore Lucy and Tam, although I find Lucy pretty painful to watch at times too, the real Luc would never go for Tam but NuLucy might....

It's interesting that Tamwar is the only one of the younger generation she felt she could talk to about it.
I hope that once Tamwar is over the shock of his mum and brother leaving, he'll turn out to be a good friend to Lucy. I'd like to see a freindship develop there. Not a romantic one - just friends who hasve both been through a lot and understand each other. At the moment both of them need genuine freinds - especially Lucy, with her dad in America and not there for her to turn to. In her situation the last thing she needs is a drinking buddy. |

He is a nice guy and is a bit shy/awkward and some people are like that, they can't help they way they are. I would like to see him with Lucy, why not? he is not a bad looking guy and he has a heart. I hope the writers give him some good storylines. |

Tamwar scenes with Kamil and when he tells everyone like it is, is his strongest appeal imo and he can sometimes be funny with the right written material. Who said he's completely boring?
