I have installed The Find Friends app on the iPhone 5 and when I try to to get the contacts up, it's says you have no contacts in ICloud. I have set up iCloud account, and everything is switched on and synced. Any advice on what I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

You need to have your friends registered email address in your contacts list as well as their phone number. That's what Find My Friends searches for.

Also, I know it's obvious, but your friends also have to be on iOS devices and have the app installed too.

In Find My Friends you have to send requests to your friends to ask if they will allow you to track them. You can add people manually if you know their iCloud account details. It's possible that whilst you have contact details in your account, they are not other people's iCloud details. You both have to have an iOS device and iCloud for it to work.
