It might not be bluray qulaity but Super HD looks very nice via my PS3. Watched Cape Fear and the quality was just superb.
I guess I am a bit spolit with blu-rays

Its just the static in the black that annoys me it is still high quality in close ups and the detail though.

Strange. The only time I ever have static/grading/pixellating in the blacks is when Netflix is showing something in lower quality. By the time it's ramped up to HD there are no problems. Totally different on LoveFilm were I've had grading/pixellating even on the highest setting.

I checked out Punisher: War Zone over the weekend on Netflix through my PS3. It was transmitting in Super HD and was flawless, comparable to my friends Blu Ray of the same film.

Could it be the brightness of your TV? I'm actually as far as one could get from an expert in all the technicalities of television perfect picture settings, but I live on the principle that if something is black, it should be totally dark, in which case it would be near impossible to see any imperfections in the black pixels - to see imperfections would mean lighter segments are showing.
