Anyone else with this 36" widescreen television, all is perfect but when a smaller image in stretched in the auto mode, for some reason about 1" inch of the bottom of the screen is left blank, the top part is totally filled.

No real problem, just thought someone might have an idea, I beleive you can ajust the geometry of the tube via a secret menu, I found the code somewhere once but don't know what I did with it!!!!

Hi Pyara,

I too have this TV (had it over a year)

I use the different aspects all the time and have had no problems.

Here's a possible suggestion

If you have viewed an MTV style prog that has a 16:9 ratio but is really a 4:3 picture with black bar at top and bottom and it can put a subtitle in the blank bit at bottom. when u use automatic it switched to 16:9 subtitle mode. Could this be what has happened?

To get round this switch to the required mode manually.

Btw what engineer code did you find? I used the codes I got from the AVforums but couldnt get into mine. I think its to do with the release version of the tv

Cheers

Dekim
