EE - Were you satisfied with Zainab's exit?
I was surprised! Judging by the spoilers, I assumed her exit was gonna be a complete flop, but it was actually a fantastic send-off and it shows that not all exits need dramatic meaty storylines for it to be good. It was heartfelt and emotional and the writing was on top form
Nina has been amazing and I'm going to miss her loads

Was a great episode and a fitting end for her character.

It was very emotional, I did cry pretty much the whole way through as it was so sad to see Zainab fighting it but Masood not wanting to be there. I just wondered about the parting words with Masood were she was saying about his subtle was she saying it because she did notice it or only because he had pointed that out earlier in the day. I'm not sure how I feel about the exit because I did ship Masood and Zainab a lot, it could have been better if there was more of a build up between their relationship break down, there were scenes only a month ago where they seemed happy and Masood said lovely things that I thought he meant at the time. I don't know, I don't think I would have been happy with any kind of exit as she was my favourite character.

The last two episodes were good
but the storyline as a whole should have been better and didn't need Ayesha to be involved. The cracks were there in October last year when Zainab left after they fell out over Syed and this exit should have been a continuation of that.

Very happy...and sad too!! First time I can actually say that watching EE over CS was an absolute joy, this week!!!
And that saying something, as I'm rooting for Tyrone, but the escape/kidnap plot is ridiculous!!!!! |

Can someone explain to me what she meant when she said "as if it could have been any other way".

Hi, I've heard this saying a lot on here, I ship them but I'm not a 100% sure what it actually means? Does it just mean like or something more?
Some people shipped 'the Doctor and Rose' because they wanted them to be involved romantically. |

Ayesha was only there to be a catalyst, she wasn't important; a symptom of a bigger problem.
I just think comparing all that with Ayesha standing naked in a towel is a bit blah for me - a bit too easy. |

This is the first time I have ever had a tear in my eyes
It was so much sadder when a relationship breaks down like this in a kind of inevitable way and both are sad Aaaw masood saying goodbye to kamil. . Im gone |

I've just caught up on the last two episodes and spent a good deal of the time tearing up. I am surprised to say that i think the ending was brilliantly done. Given how the storyline has been over the last few weeks and from reading the spoilers i hadn't expected it to be so good and so emotional. I still think it was a bit rushed, as others have posted if it had been a continuation form last October it would have made more sense and i didnt really like the Ayesha element but thats just my opinion. The last 5 mins of Friday's episode was beautiful and so well acted, i cried my eyes out when they were saying goodbye.

I kind of wish there had been more of a build up to it. I also thought it was a shame that she didn't have any good bye with other people in the square e.g. Denise. But having said that I think it was a good ending for her and it's good that it leaves the door open for her. Julia's theme was a nice touch for a character who's had a lot of high profile storylines over the past 5 years.

I watched it with my jaw dropping. Everything seemed to have been pushed into x2 episodes, but, I guess I should've known this would happen, considering Pats rush exit too. I couldn't believe what I was watching. Nevermind! On with the Titanic...! |

I haven't watched Eastenders for months but wasn't going to miss Zainab's exit for the world. She was the only character left that I had any interest in once Christian & Syed departed. Needless to say, I sobbed my way through the final scenes.
I hope Nina won't be away from our screens for too long. She's a fantastic & versatile actress and made Zainab one of Eastenders' most memorable characters. |

I loved the last two episodes. I was prepared to be ambivalent towards Zee's leaving story as the build up was really bad, but, as Nina Wadia said, all of the Masoods troubles were condensed into two very well written episodes. I preferred Thursday's episode, as the writing was just spot on - Pete Lawson really nailed it, and brought a wonderful tone that EE rarely has these days; it was just about the characters, no plot dictation in sight. The writing for Friday's wasn't as good as Pete Lawson's (but still good), and it was a shame that he didn't get to write both episodes.

I loved Zainab too, so pleased she got Julia's ![]() Never have forgiven TPTB for not giving my all time favourite (Pauline) a Julia's- she deserved a Pauline's Theme ![]() I must say I love Joey Branning ![]() That was a pain, she honestly deserved a Pauline's theme. They ruined her character and I agreed with Wendy, even though I didn't see the first episode as I wasn't born until 1988 but from watching clips she wouldn't have remarried Arthur was the one. Much like Zainab & Masood ![]() ![]() whose betting he will marry Bitchesha!! I don't think there is anything in the show for me to watch it anymore. I'II see Monday's but it's going to feel very odd. My only hope is that she comes back when Masood leaves and we get the ending they deserved.

It was a good end to an otherwise rubbish storyline. I was sad to see Zainab go but I'm glad she and Masood parted on (more or less) good terms.
