Most Annoying Ringtones
russell@home
01-01-2005
OK, It's new years day & I can either tidy the spare room or sit on the PC...

So... What's your most annoying ringtone & why?

Mine has got to be the Nokia tone, mainly due to the tv series driving school.

They are all bl**dy annoying! Especially that nokia one, which some people have, it just reminds me of Dom jolly screaming hello in a very public place!

I used to have a Dom Jolly ringtone just to p155 people off!

It started with the Nokia tune, then went on with him shouting something like "What? no, I'm in the park..".

The joys of mp3 ringtones!

Although I find ringtones mildly annoying, (one of the reasons my phone is always on silent vibrate) there isn't any one in particular that I cannot stand. What really annoys me though is when someone shows off ALL their ringtones to someone else in a public place, going through each and every one in full- and usually the volume is up full whack too. Aarrgghh!

Yeah the crazy frog

Also, the "Kick" ringtone on the Nokia 3310 used the annoy the hell out of me, for some odd reason?!

I haven't heard the crazy frog one but by the way the wife describes it, it sounds like a rip-off of the dengdeng.swf that was created about 2-3 years ago - find it here

Ringtones are for saddo's

Why else would you have them except to raise a smile (or annoy people) on the bus.

I bet they even ring themselves using a second phone just so that they can show off the new ringtone and have a fake conversation with their boss in a desperate attempt to convince someone that they have a decent job

My phone has a standard ring, no songs or sfx.

Can you imagine being in a public place without ringtones? There are only so many types of "ring ring" you can have. Everyone would think it was there phone going off. Ringtones allow you to identify your phone ringing from others more easly. Not because their sad, but because its a cleaver thing to do!

Nokia ringtone is a kitsch classic that'll never stop annoying the hell out of me - silent vibrating is good enough for me

I agree with nodnol, they are all very annoying.

I think all mobiles should be made as vibration only.

The most precious commodity in this modern age is silence.

The trouble is that nearly all youngsters listen to music that is far too loud and are becoming deaf. This means that the music has to be played even louder.

Its a simple question but why must music be so loud that you cannot have a conversation with a person only 1 inch away from you?

"Leave him alone barry, we can't all be intothesame thing, he likes crispy strips, you like chicken on the boooone, and, stuff"
"It's OK mum, must be terrible being married to a SLAPHEAD!"

Are you saying that you can't tell if it's the phone in your pocket ringing or the one half way down the aisle?

You could put it on vibrate

Which brings us back to Pioneer31's post about people who ring themselves

Sorry damndirtyape, not implying anything, honest!

Thats when hardly anybody had a mobile phone, and those that did, did not use them as much as they do today.
