Totally agree about the Broccoli! I normally refer to it as The Devil's Afro! Vile stuff! I can't even watch other people eat it! Bleurgh! I can't stand stuff like courgettes, aubergines or artichokes either.

I had some butter laced with that a year or two back. Sounded like a really nice idea. It wasn't.

If you have a delicate disposition, don't read the following.

I'll admit I'm a mega fussy eater but the thing I really can't abide is peanut butter. Also once had a meal at a restaurant that was absolutely soaked in soy sauce which so grim!

TRIPE! The look, the smell, the taste makes me heave. I have a rule I don't eat anything that sounds like it could come from me. Livers, kidneys, internal organs of any kind. No thank you.

I can still remember school dinners' puddings - tapioca and rice pudding just made me heave. Esp when people put jam in it - and stirred it. Oh god I feel sick just typing that.

You should try my dad's kidney stew. He is a professional chef though by talent, and it is delicious.

Again, cows tongue is very nice.

Maybe, I should put all that into spoilers on here for the vegetarians/vegans and any people that don't like to eat dead animal flesh.

Sea cucumber

Brains

In both cases not so much the taste as the texture - set off my gag reflex within a nano-second

Some school dinner food was very bad admittedly, but at primary school we went for extra helpings of gravy, and at secondary school they did a fudge tart sprinkled with chocolate, again second helpings.

Some of the best food I've ever eaten was the Royal Military College of Science in Shrivenham and it only cost about £1-50 for as much as you could eat, and it really was as much as you could eat. Beer in the bar was about 30p/pint and a shot of spirits 14p, back in 1987. Also, it required you to be honest and declare your expenditure, which some people didn't do, so you effectively got a top notch meal, free of charge.
