Waterloo Road - Observations
I've just watched this weeks Waterloo Road and I have to say it's getting even worse.
1. What school lets an ex pupil wander around the hallways without supervision, not sign a visitors book and be allowed to rake around under the stage? Then Michael (who is already annoying) sees him, talks to him like he knows him all his life then walks off leaving him alone again 2. Doesn't (or didn't) the school have security or was that in Rochdale? As surely you wouldn't get a gun or Barry's load of fake gold inside 3. What is the actual point of Lorraine? She funds the school yes, but she is by no way trained to deal with children and shouldn't have them in seminars with herself about herself and her career! 4. The plotlines are just ludicrous. I'm quite looking forward to Chalky and Kevin's app storying but that's actually about it. It used to be good with the Fishers, even when Aidan was an idiot it was still really good. At least you could relate to the people in the show. Even now the only people I like are Scout, Rihannon (sometimes) and that is actually it! |

I also hate Lorraine. As if she'd be allowed to use a school as her own little pet project like that. Useless character. It's like she's just there to be the bitch. Why also are they still being taught English qualifications. What Scottish teacher would know A-:Level curriculum?

I think there are some private schools that do teach A levels- but yes, usually they don't

I haven't watched Waterloo Road in years, but this post in another thread made me laugh... Quote:

At first I thought it was daft that Bolton would go to his old school to get away from the army. A friend or relative' s house would've been more realistic. I then realised it's even dafter because, as another poster pointed out, it wasn't even the school he attended and he hardly knew any of the staff or pupils! |

I left my school last year and went University, I went back to my old school, which has a new headteacher since I left, and I was allowed to wander around alone, didn't sign any visitor book or anything and I had teachers stopping their lessons to speak to me. So, schools do it.

Disrupting a childs education to speak to an ex-pupil? It never went on in my school at all, I'm not quite sure how this can happen. Asides from the obvious safety risk, and of course fire alarm which means a person they didn't know was there (as no visitors book) wouldn't be accounted for. Also, I'm talking about the show here, not you! |
