XF: Back To Basics 2 - Live Show 6
Previously on Back To Basics, the magnificent 7 acts took on a very popular theme known as unplugged. Whilst some were able to deliver, there were a few that didn't quite pull it off. However, we had a somewhat surprise bottom two and after a terrific battle, it was time for Alexandra Burke to leave the competition leaving Kuda with one act left. Tonight, roll down the carpet, turn down the lights and get your popcorn and drink, because it is Movies Night, so our sensational six nominees will be doing whatever they can to pull out award-winning hits!
Fighting for your votes are: pingu58011 & The last of the Boys Aiden Grimshaw Kuda_Kunaka & The last of the Girls TreyC Cohen jackamakka & The Overs Ruth Lorenzo Kye Sones bboy1988 & The Groups Little Mix MK1 So welcome, everyone to where your Saturday night fever starts right here! This should be a blockbuster night, let's hope the panel agree. Judges, confirm your presence! |

Pingu isn't here tonight, but I have his comments ready for the show, Kuda isn't here either but I think he may catch up when he does.
We're opening the show with the Overs and kicking us off with a song from the movie Burlesque, it's Ruth Lorenzo! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V_6Kn9KGt8 |

Wow!! What a way to open the show. Ruth that was incredible and the vocals were the best you have ever shown. It was lively, sexy and fun. I don`t know how anyone can follow that up. |

Ruth, tonight I took a risk with you to show off that big voice you have that can encompass a full audience or even an entire theatre. It combined quite a sexy undertone into your signature powerhouse performances and I hope that translated into the public and the judges viewing of your performance. I’m really proud of you tonight Ruth, and I hope I get to keep you next week. |

Ruth
Ruth I don’t know why but tonight I just knew your mentor was gonna go with Christina Aguilera in order to bring out the power in your voice. But tonight’s performance was good but for me it was just like a re-run of your week 4 performance and I feel a little bit disappointed. I think tonight your mentor had a real chance with you to not only divulge into the powerful side of your voice but bring out the emotion to make the performance special. For me I need to see a completely different side like a strong power ballad possibly something similar to when you sang Always. In order for you to progress in the competition you need to show something different and really blow us away. |

So we start with great comments overall for Ruth, but will it be enough for her to survive since there are a few weeks left?
Next up is the last of the boys and with a song from the movie The Twilight Saga: New Moon, it's Aiden Grimshaw! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5a5hA0wLfI |

Aiden Grimshaw
Yes Aiden! That’s what you should have been singing from the start! The emotion in that song is beyond compare, you executed it to such a high standard I had goosebumps and everything! The only thing is, it might be too little too late. You’ve survived the sing-off before but I don’t know if you could do it again. Good luck, you’re definitely growing on me. |

Aiden I said I don`t know how anyone can follow that up. Well guess what, you just did. It was out of this world. It was very, dark and tense and the vocals were as good as always. I let you down for a couple of weeks, but you came back into the competition in a big way. Please vote for my amazing boy!! |

Aiden
Aiden last week like I said your song choice was far too obvious, but tonight I think your mentor is starting to find a better direction for you. I am still not overly fussed on the song choice but it was an ok performance. I like the song when it first began and thought we have finally found the intensity but I found myself a little bored with the song itself tonight as I don’t personally like the song. I am not sure how this will go with the public but best of luck. |

So it's good comments overall for Aiden, but could he be safe or could he be in danger? Over to the groups and they were able to survive in the sing-off and they don't wanna be there again. Performing with an interesting song from the movie, Tiny Dancer, it's MK1! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQerQC7wq5U

MK1
Guys, I missed your performance last week and when I found out you were in the Bottom Two I was shocked. However, looking back on your performance, I found that the public had made the right decision on putting you in the bottom. Like I said a few weeks ago, I’m afraid you peaked too early. I think tonight was another example of that. I don’t think you’ve been as good as you were at the start of the competition, and you’re getting progressively worse rather than progressively better. I’m worried for you tonight guys. |

MK1 I am so happy I saved you last week. It was an amazing and lively performance that I think I could see you releasing as a single. It was nice to see you rapping as well Charlie and you work so well together. I really do not know who`s safe because of how good everyone has been so far. |

Guys you are so back in the game after that performance. During the last show I took a risk with you and it almost exploded in my face. When you fell into the bottom 2 I was really worried that you may have been voted out. But thankfully the judges saved you as they knew the potential you have as a group. You guys are so young and edgy and you are like a breath of fresh air in the competition. I hope the public appreciate the hard work you guys put in every single week and will continue to vote for you. |

So it's great comments for MK1 overall, but will they also get the rebound vote later tonight?
Off to the Overs again and with a song from the movie, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, it's Kye Sones! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-w3WfgpcGg |

Kye Sones
Kye for the last 2 weeks I have not liked your performances. This week was no different. I thought that it was very predictable and boring. The vocals were good, but I don`t think your mentor has listened to us and maybe they've been focusing on Ruth more. I think you are very lucky if you aren't in the bottom!! |

Kye Sones
Every week mate you come out, you do your best performance, and you get so much stick off all the judges. Tonight, I really don’t know how this will come across but I loved it. You showed off the raw emotion you can punch into a song and also started to show some power which I don’t think we’ve ever seen you do before. You’ve avoided the sing-off most of your rough weeks and I really hope you don’t end up there tonight. I want you back next week! |

Kye
Kye for me you have had a real bumpy road in respect to the songs you have been singing. I honestly thought last week would have been the week that you would have arrived in the competition and built a solid basis for the rest of the competition. But tonight Kye I am not 100% convinced by that song. I think vocally you are the weakest in the competition and tonight with the performances already delivered, it was clear to see you are starting to struggle to keep up with the others. Kye, one thing though I am glad about this performance is that your mentor has taken you slightly out of your comfort zone but I think you may struggle in the votes tonight. |

So it's mixed comments for Kye, but he has avoided the sing-off, will he avoid it again?
Now to the last remaining girl and she doesn't want to end up the same way the other girls have gone. Singing a cover of a song from the movie My Best Friend's Wedding, it's TreyC Cohen! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HX00cSNwi08 |

TreyC Cohen
TreyC last week for the 1st time I liked your performance. This week I thought it was quite good and you really hit those notes. One thing I would like to say, just for some advice is that you might start becoming a little predictable. As I said I don't know if your safe as the competition is so tough, but good luck. |

Treyc
Treyc one thing I really liked about that performance is that your mentor has really listened to my comments and has kept all the unnecessary stage antics away from your performance. Tonight it was all about the vocals which were good. Like always I have a few constructive comments to make. This song if I am honest would make me think more of Alexandra with the soulful elements. I am not by any means saying it was a bad performance but what I would have preferred with this song would have been if you had updated it and made it your song rather than singing an old song. I am sure though you will be here for the next show and Treyc that’s the next thing I need to see from you to make you a serious contender, update songs and re-arrange them to make them sound original. |

Treyc Cohen
Treyc, I’ve said since Week 1 that I loved you and you’ve just got better and better. Tonight, that was absolutely fantastic! Just don’t let this high calibre of performance slip now, you’re great and you need to keep it up now. I don’t think you’re in trouble tonight but that doesn’t mean you don’t need votes. And I can assure you, I’ll be voting for you tonight! |

So it's great comments for TreyC even with the dreaded word "predictable" being used, can she get the votes tonight? The final performance is from the groups, with a song from the movie Crossroads, it's Little Mix! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlV7RhT6zHs

Little Mix
Girls that was just as beautiful as always and I`m actually getting quite emotional at that performance. The vocals and harmonies were just amazing as well. What a way to close the show. You have got to be through to next week because I am in love with you girls. |
