Corrie: Am I the only one who feels sorry for Gail?
I actually feel quite sympathetic towards Gail
![]() Say what you like about her interfering and her blinking and her chin and her singing and her turtlenecks and her blazers and her disastrous taste in men, but she's always been there for her family and just happens to have the very worst luck. She stuck by Sarah through all her drama, never gave up on David despite all those murder attempts, took in a girl who hated her and acted as a grandmother/babysitter to her son and even helped Nick through the ordeal of a head transplant. Kylie, Nick, David and Leanne seem to be treating her horridly, despite the fact that the goings on with Lewis haven't directly effected them in the slightest (bar Nick losing an employee and Leanne having a previous grudge). Audrey I can understand, but nobody seems to pay attention to the fact. I know it's a soap, but the whole "Gail is the devil incarnate" act doesn't ring true, with or without her rather bizarre way of acting in the aftermath. |

I feel sorry for her too, (although I still fell about laughing when it all came tumbling down around her ears).
She can be a silly mare, but she's certainly done enough for her family over the years to have earned a little more respect from Demon David and especially Kylie. I'm sure they'll all make up again eventually, but in the meantime, it has provided some comedy gold moments. ![]()

I do feel sorry for Gail. I think David and Kylie are acting terribly after everything Gail has done for them - particularly Kylie who was complicit in the whole thing, I'm surprised she hasn't thought twice about the way she is behaving.
Yes Gail is stupid, yes she can be a right bitch (and I think she's had this coming for a while after the way she treated Natasha), but she's always been there for David and done a lot for him, not to mention Kylie and Max. |
